Final Words
Movies, novels, video games, anime, and manga—these media often introduce us to unforgettable characters with incredibly rich personalities that continue to captivate us every time we revisit their worlds. For many of us, the stories that bring these characters to life may not fully satisfy our curiosity about who they are or how they view the world.

With the rise of Large Language Models (LLMs) capable of processing millions of words and absorbing every detail contained within them, we now have a powerful tool to simulate the personalities of fictional characters—sometimes achieving a depth that may even surpass what their original creators envisioned. After all, a human writer can only focus on so many aspects when crafting dialogue or responses for a character. In complex works with vast fictional universes, certain nuances of a character’s personality may even be overlooked by their creator. It’s not far-fetched to suggest that an LLM, when provided with all the available information about a character, could portray them with greater accuracy and consistency, generating responses that align closely with who they are.

This website aims to do just that—and possibly more.

This space is currently not a platform for chatting with fictional characters; other websites already offer such functionality to a certain extent. Moreover, setting up fictional conversations using large language models is relatively straightforward and easily accessible to anyone interested in doing so. This is not to say that the option to freely converse with fictional characters may not appear on this website in the future.

Right now, the primary purpose of this website is to document my personal exploration of fictional personalities and universes, refine the best answers through continuous iteration, and potentially share these curated results with those who might find them interesting. In essence, it is a personal open gallery—a gallery of words.

- What are Lucidity Records? -

On this website, the Lucidity Records are unanswered questions from original works involving a fictional character. These questions highlight mysteries or details left unresolved within the character's universe.

- What is this website about? -

This website is a personal open space where I document my own simulation and exploration of the personalities of various fictional characters with the help of large language models.

- How are the characters chosen? -

Because it is a personal project, the characters present on this website are those whose personalities and fictional universes interest me the most.

- How does the large language model capture a character's personality? -

The large language model is fed the entire body of official works that feature the character in its original language. It is also configured with a specific set of instructions to ensure the portrayal is as authentic as possible.

- Does the language model use sources outside the character’s fictional universe? -

No, it generally does not. The model is instructed to avoid using any information outside the provided fictional works.

- Which large language model is used to embody the personalities of the characters? -

Various versions of the Google Gemini family of models are currently used, but this may change over time to leverage the latest advancements in artificial intelligence.

- Is it possible to engage in free-form chats with the characters? -

No, free-form chats are not currently available, but they may be added in the future.

- Will more characters be added in the future? -

Yes, additional characters, questions, and reviews will be added progressively.

- When will new updates be made? -

This space is maintained as a hobby. It is meant, first and foremost, for personal use, so there is no fixed schedule for the release of new updates and features.

The inspiration for creating this website came from the simple amazement at the responses that fictional characters provide to various questions, and the desire to document them for personal use—and perhaps for others to explore as well.

With the continuous advancements in artificial intelligence, interactions with fictional characters, which are already largely possible, may become significantly more immersive and engaging.

In addition to text generation using large language models, this website utilizes video generation through image-to-video models, and in the future, it will hopefully incorporate generated voices as well. I can foresee a time, not too far away, when instead of text-based conversations, it will be possible to have fully audiovisual interactions with fictional characters, featuring their appearance and voices.

It will be interesting to follow these developments, leveraging new capabilities as they become available, and using them to bring fictional characters to life.
